Ndutu Calving Season Safari, 5 days

Length: 5 daysGroup: Private, tailor-madeDifficulty: EasyBest months: Jan–Mar
Overview

Tarangire followed by two dedicated nights on the Ndutu calving grounds.

This 5-day safari is designed around one of Tanzania's most spectacular wildlife experiences: the Great Migration calving season. Travelling between January and March, the safari focuses on the Ndutu and Southern Serengeti plains, where the migrating herds gather during the calving period. The landscape becomes filled with wildebeest and other grazing animals, while predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas are drawn to the abundance of newborn animals. The itinerary combines an introduction to Tanzania's wildlife in Tarangire with two dedicated nights in the Ndutu area, giving you time to experience the calving grounds without rushing from one destination to another.
